The CMRPC CPRG Teams Wants to Hear From You!

Greater Worcester Region Map
Greater Worcester Region

As the lead entity for the Greater Worcester Region's Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG), the CMRPC CPRG Team is conducting outreach for the next phase of the CPRG planning process: the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (CCAP). In March 2024, the Team released the first deliverable of the planning process, the Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP), which identifies short-term, high-priority, and implementation ready measures to reduce air and climate pollution across several economy-wide sectors. The CCAP will serve as a roadmap towards net zero emissions for the Greater Worcester Region, building off measures already established as part of the PCAP while adding more ambitious measures that will be informed by expanded public outreach and stakeholder involvement.

This summer, the CMRPC CPRG Team may be traveling to a farmer's market or community festival near you! The goal of these tabling events is to promote this planning process and gather ideas related to air and climate pollution reduction, including through a public survey. In addition to asking residents for their innovative pollution reduction ideas, the survey asks respondents to rank the strategies included in the PCAP. For more information and helpful resources, please refer to the links below.

The CMRPC CPRG Team is striving to foster an inclusive, equitable, and meaningful engagement process. Throughout this engagement process, the Team will work to nurture professional relationships and community connections, not only to develop a valuable, living document, but to clear pathways towards a more sustainable future for those who live and work in the planning region.

The CMRPC CPRG Team invites you to explore the CMRPC CPRG Website and review our PCAP, events calendar, and resources page, which includes the CCAP Brochure in five languages other than English (Simplified Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, Swahili, and Vietnamese). At any time, please send us an email with any ideas, questions, or concerns you may have at cprg@cmrpc.org.

We look forward to hearing from you.
